Happy New Year from Piney River Ranch!

We hope you all had a fantastic New Year and are looking forward to 2016 as much as we are. 2015 for us at the Ranch exceeded all of our expectations. We executed many successful events, welcomed new guests as well as seeing many familiar returning faces.Thank you to every single one of you – guests, brides, grooms and staff for making it a year to remember. We have so many exciting things happening at the Ranch in 2016 and we wanted to share some of them with you here.

New for 2016 is our 3 new glamping tents which will replace our beloved teepees. We found that as much as people loved the idea of staying in a teepee the actual reality of it was just a little too much for most – not to mention chilly! Even though it’s summertime, at 9350 feet it gets pretty cool once the sun goes down! We will have 3 new custom built glamping tents for the 2016 season. Each tent will include a wooden floor, queen bed, twin beds and most importantly, a wood burning pot belly stove that will keep you warm and toasty all night long. Our aim was to try and take the hassle out of camping whilst still keeping it rustic and fun.

Last year we upgraded our 6 lakefront cabins to gorgeous brand new custom log cabins. We have 4 larger cabins that can sleep up to 8 people and 2 smaller cabins that can comfortably sleep 4 people. The main window in the larger cabins looks straight across the lake with an unobstructed view of Mt. Powell, the tallest peak in the Gore Mountain range. Trust me when I say, there is no better place to watch the sun come up than from behind these mountains while lying in bed with a cup of coffee, just taking it all in. Piney River Ranch is known for being the best hidden gem in Vail, Colorado and is no wonder that our guests anxiously await their summer vacation at Piney, year after year.
